Loneliness

Loneliness

An Australian research study, undertaken by Swinburne University in Melbourne, and the Australian Psychological Society, into the impacts of loneliness on mental and physical health published it’s findings late last week. They reported that over 27% of Australians describe feeling lonely at least three days every week. As humans we require social connection for optimal brain development. That is why it is critical for us, as adults who care for kids, to help them develop the skills they need to form strong social connections.
