Leading an early childhood service comes with endless pressure, competing priorities, and no shortage of conflicting advice.

IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE.

I help busy early childhood leaders reduce burnout and build psychologically safe, resilient teams in high-pressure environments.

YOU’RE AN EARLY CHILDHOOD LEADER WHO IS CONSTANTLY NAVIGATING:

  • The emotional load of supporting staff, families, and children all at once
  • Rising expectations around wellbeing, behaviour, and team culture
  • Staff who are overwhelmed, under pressure, or struggling to self-regulate
  • The challenge of maintaining a psychologically safe, stable team environment
  • How to lead with clarity and confidence in an increasingly complex sector

You want to lead a service where children thrive, staff feel supported, and culture is strong and sustainable.

But the reality is, leadership has become heavy. You’re time-poor, constantly responding to challenges, and often carrying more than you should.

I’m Kari, and I help early childhood leaders reduce burnout and build psychologically safe, resilient teams.

Through practical leadership frameworks, evidence-informed strategies, and real-world experience, I support you to lead sustainably, strengthen your team, and create the conditions where both educators and children can thrive.

HOW CAN I SUPPORT YOU?

Meet Kari

HI I’M KARI,

an author, researcher and early childhood educator who has helped over 25,000 leaders, educators and other people who care for kids develop the skills and confidence to promote positive mental health habits in their services, schools and communities. I have been a teacher, Deputy Principal, Guidance Counsellor and Consultant for over 30 years — and during that time I’ve had a front row seat witnessing the escalating crisis in children’s mental health.

My work continues to be grounded in children’s wellbeing, but now focuses on the leaders who shape those environments. She supports early childhood leaders to reduce burnout, build strong team cultures, and create psychologically safe, resilient workplaces where everyone can thrive.
